Last night I attended the very fabulous DC District Sample Sale hosted by D.C. Housewife, Mary Amons. I went to help out with the Ping Pong Dim Sum table, where we were dolling out some delicious dim sum to the bargain-hunting women of D.C. While women (and some men!) did have to pay to enter the event, once inside guests received access to an open bar, yummy treats from area restaurants, free manicures and hairstyling and incredibly discounted clothing and jewelery.
During my break from the Ping Pong Dim Sum table (you can check out more photos from the event at the Ping Pong Facebook page), I was able to snag a Salted Caramel Georgetown cupcake and a photo op with Mary Amons (I’m on the far right):
The profits from this event will go to the GW Mammovan, a vehicle which provides mammography screenings to D.C.-area women. An event involving food, fashion and charity is a winner in my mind.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
